(Leesburg, VA) — Buta Biberaj was endorsed for Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney by former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe.

Biberaj, a long time Loudoun County resident, with experience as a trial attorney, judge, business owner, and guardian ad litem, would bring over 25 years of diverse experience to the role. McAuliffe has pledged to be the campaigner in chief for a number of Democratic candidates across the Commonwealth.
McAuliffe recently headlined a fundraiser for Biberaj, where he stressed the importance of creating a Commonwealth where everyone is treated equally. While in office, McAuliffe broke the record for restoring voting rights to convicted felons, calling it his “proudest achievement” as governor.
“I could not be more pleased to have the support of former Governor McAuliffe. While in office, Governor McAuliffe made Virginia a state we could be proud of,” said Biberaj. “I take his endorsement seriously, and will work hard to continue the great example he has set in the Commonwealth of making it a safer, more just and more equitable community for all.”

Buta is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, and all state and appellate courts in Virginia, Maryland and New York. Buta received her undergraduate degree in Education from George Mason University; and, her Juris Doctorate from the Antonin Scalia School of Law. She is a 23-year resident of Dulles and her law firm has been located in Leesburg since 1993.

Buta is committed to serving the whole community and has been actively involved. She co-founded the Street Law Program, has served as a mentor for the Leadership in Law program, speaker and mentor for the Loudoun County Public Schools on Law Day, and is on the Board of Directors of the non-profit corporation A Advantage 4 Kids, Inc., an organization benefiting Northern Virginia families and children.
