Attorney General Mark Herring Publicly Endorses Democratic Nominee for Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney Buta Biberaj

(LEESBURG, VA)— Buta Biberaj and Attorney General Mark Herring will be hosting a Meet and Greet on Friday August 30th from 5pm-7pm. The meet and greet will take place at Joe’s Pizzaria at 22360 Sterling Blvd, Sterling, VA 20164. Attorney General Mark Herring, a Loudoun County native, publicly endorsed Biberaj for Commonwealth’s Attorney.

At the meet and greet Buta Biberaj and Attorney General Herring will discuss the importance of prioritizing safety for the community. “Buta Biberaj is a strong Democrat and is my choice to be our next Commonwealth’s Attorney here in Loudoun County. As Attorney General, I need partners like Buta throughout Virginia who will work to keep our communities safe and ensure justice, equality, and opportunity for all. Buta’s wealth of experience as a substitute judge, an attorney, child advocate, and community leader make her the most qualified candidate to meet the needs of Loudoun County. I strongly endorse Buta to be the next Commonwealth’s Attorney for Loudoun County,” said Herring.

“It means a lot to have the support of Attorney General Herring. Mark’s vote of confidence is humbling because I have admired him since I became a lawyer in Leesburg in 1993 and moved into Loudoun in 1996. As a Native Loudouner, he was always seeking to do the best for our community and understood that no one is above the law. These are my sentiments as well. As a longtime resident and business owner, I am invested in keeping our community safe and improving our criminal justice system – by providing transparency, inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement. It is my goal to ensure that the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney is accountable to its residents and is the standard bearer for truth and justice. Our primary focus is to change the culture of the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney so that we are “Smart on Crime” and not wasteful of our resources and assets. I look forward to working with Attorney General Herring to ensure all of Loudoun has a fair shot, and making Loudoun the best county,” said Biberaj.
